Individual oil control piston rings are generally requested in the below cases:

• A corresponding piston ring set does not exist in the market. This is often the case with very old engines.
• The piston grooves are damaged and need to be enlarged, so the original piston rings cannot work. This often happens with the top groove of the piston.
• The cylinder is heavily worn. To avoid reboring the cylinder, you may install piston rings that are a bit larger in diameter.
